Small stuff that I am grateful for today: A fairly painless trip to Home Depot in preparation for a great team of volunteers from Iowa State/Memorial Lutheran Church (although this should probably be classified as big stuff since 99% of my trips to Home Depot are typically anythng but painless.)

Bonus: A beautiful Spring day enticed me to take the long way home and enjoy a few more encounters with Louisiana wildlife and landscapes.

Small stuff that I am grateful for today: All of the many wonderful bayou folks that have fed my wonderful volunteer folks during their stay.

Bonus: The team has had to work twice as fast to burn off all those calories.

Small stuff that I am grateful for today: The fact that a bunch of wonderful volunteers from Midland, Michigan decided to roll up their sleeves on their day off from a long week  of rebuilding to help save our quickly eroding landscape. Check out this nice article.

Small stuff #6 that I am grateful for today: Spending a bit of time with some amazing volunteers from Rochester, NY and being reminded of so many wonderful things that I miss (like Wegmans, garbage plates and beautiful, giant, foldable slices of pizza) and all that I don’t miss (like snow and snow and snow).

Bonus: Getting treated to a most delicious meal at Sportsman’s Paradise! Yum!!!

Double Bonus: Leftovers in the fridge.
